Welcome to Heliopause

Who and What

Hi! My name is Goldeen Ogawa, Rhondi to my Furry friends, and I’m the artist-writer-creator behind everything you’ll find here at Heliopause Productions. From books to art and all points between, I write and illustrate stories, paint curious characters, and design fantastical beasts in a variety of mediums. My work is centered on fantasy and science fiction, with a focus on animals and mythological beings, subverting tropes, and trying to bring as much joy and wonder into the world as I can. In the furry fandom I’m known as Rhondi, the volcano chimera who is often a subject of my art.

Below you can find a quick guide to my work and where you can find it, and a list of my upcoming convention appearances—I’d love to meet you in person!

If you have any questions or would like to recommend an event, get a book signed, or order a special print, you are welcome to send me an email. Have fun exploring!

Books and Art

You can browse the complete catalogue of my published fiction here at Heliopause under the Fiction tab. Each series has a page with links to individual titles, as well as an introduction and an episode guide. Individual titles are posted as they are published and include a brief blurb with links to where they may be purchased.

For artwork, you can look under the Artwork tag on my personal site, goldeenogawa.com. If you would like to purchase a print, you can do so online at the Heliopause Online Store. See a piece that’s not available as a print? Contact me and I can special order it for you!

Where and When

You can always find me tweeting @GoldeenOgawa (personal/professional) and @HeliopausePro (titles, products and events), blogging on my personal site and Patreon, and publishing… right here! I also pack up this show and travel to conventions all over the US. My show list varies from year to year. Some of my favorites include AnthroCon (Pittsburgh PA in July), the World Fantasy and World Science Fiction Conventions (move annually, held in November and August respectively), and Rose City Comic Con (Portland, OR in September). Below are my current confirmed conventions:

In-person events are on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Conventions will be virtual until sufficient numbers have been vaccinated. Future shows will be announced here and on the Heliopause Mailing List

If you would like to join the list, simply send me an email and ask to be added. You’ll receive updates infrequently and irregularly and only when there’s something cool to announce, like a show or a new book.

Commissions and Originals

I do not regularly open for commissions, but when I do I always announce it on my Twitter and my website—but patrons on Patreon get first dibs. They also get first dibs on any originals I put up for sale. I also sell originals at most conventions I attend through the Art Show or at my table, where you can also purchase commissions on a limited basis. If you are interested in commissioning a book cover or licensing an image from my gallery, please contact me!

Thank you for visiting, enjoy your stay and come back any time!
